¡Bienvenidos! Welcome!

¡Hola Familias!

My name is Hillary Klipp Lopez, and I am excited to introduce myself as your child’s Spanish Immersion kindergarten teacher at Rose Park this coming year!

About Me

I am originally from Boston, Massachusetts, but I’ve lived in several different areas of the country, including 8 years in the Texas/Mexico border region where my husband Miguel is from. I hold a BA in English and Spanish from Grove City College, a Master’s degree from Plymouth State University in Language Education (TESOL), and over 10 years of teaching experience, most of which were spent teaching in my students’ non-native language. Teaching content through language is my passion, and I LOVE the formative year of Kindergarten!

Miguel and I have been married for 11 years and have 2 wonderful children, Anaiah (7) and Isaac (5). Anaiah is in Rose Park’s founding SI class and will be entering second grade, and Isaac will be in our kindergarten class this year too! We love the SI community that has grown and developed here at Rose Park. We also love Holland, which has been our home since 2017. We attend Engedi EspaƱol and enjoy serving and loving our community there.

The School Year

I think it goes without saying that we are living in unprecedented times, and I’m sure many of you have questions about what next year will look like. While I can’t answer all of those questions with certainty, I am certain that we will have a fantastic school year. I would like you to know that no matter what our circumstances, I am dedicated to helping your child grow and flourish this year. As an immersion parent as well as a teacher, know that I will work tirelessly to create a wonderful learning experience for your child. We’re in this together!

Summertime Weekly Zoom Meetings: Tuesdays at 9:30am

As part of our commitment to your child’s continued learning, we as an SI team at Rose Park will be offering OPTIONAL weekly Zoom meetings with our incoming classes. Our class will "meet" on Tuesdays during the summer from 9:30-9:50am. These meetings will provide an opportunity for your child to get to know me and his/her classmates, begin hearing a little bit of Spanish, and become more familiarized with Zoom (aren’t we all doing that? :) ).

Also, please feel free to contact me with any questions you may have, even though at this point I may not have all of the answers. I genuinely look forward to meeting you and welcoming you to our Rose Park Spanish Immersion family.
