¡Hola Familias!
We had a busy, full, EXCITING week to visit Bill's Greenhouse, celebrate Cinco de Mayo, and enjoy Tulip Time! I'm sure you heard from your child how fun (and yes, tiring!) Wednesday was. In case you didn't get a chance to tune in or watch the video of our performance, check it out below!
I am so PROUD of the kids for their hard work and perseverance through four performances. Pine Ridge, South Side, and the Forest School were all amazed at how much our little ones know, and it was a privilege for us to share a bit of culture and excitement with them.
We were also able to enjoy a short parade and Dutch dance performance at the high school on Wednesday afternoon! Talk about a full day!
Reading / Lectura: We've been reviewing our high frequency words, the letter "ll", and practicing reading with our new whisper phones!
Writing / Escritura: We finished our nonfiction animal books, complete with a table of contents. Ask your child to share it with you at home! It was a fun introductory research project for them.
Math / Matemáticas: We've been studying forming numbers as well as the parts of numbers by playing games and doing activities.
Bible / Biblia: This week we learned how Jesus loved to be with children, and how we should all be like children when we put our trust in Him. We also wrapped up our unit on Jesus' miracles, or milagros. We will spend some time learning about His
Immersion Tip of the Week
Listen to some música in Spanish this weekend! We've really enjoyed listening to 123Andrés in our classroom this year. Music is a great way to learn new language!

We're Bringing Back the Book Fair to Support our Students' Reading AND our Media Center!
Parents, you may click on this link to shop online throughout the entire week of May 17th thru May 22. The Book Fair will be set up outside for parents to shop on Thursday May 20th & Friday May 21st from 11:30 - 4:00. We hope to see you there!
