¡Hola Familias!
Here we are in our last full week of kindergarten! It's definitely a bittersweet time for me as I say goodbye to this sweet group of kids--we have had such a great year together! There have been lots of fun moments and excitement this week as we celebrate all our accomplishments this year.
This week we had a fun Field Day on Wednesday with beautiful weather! We also had a sweet celebration with all of the Spanish Immersion classes on our walk to Wendt Park today. We are so, so thankful for God's faithfulness throughout this year.
Here are a few more updates:
Reading / Lectura: This week we reviewed las vocales y los consonantes (vowels and consonants). We're also discussing characters--what they do, say, and how they feel and why.
Writing / Escritura: We have been writing about our opiniones this week! The kids have been writing and sharing their opinions using the important word porque (because).
Math / Matemáticas: This week we did a few more activities practicing the numbers 1-100! We are also exploring 3D and 2D shapes.
Bible / Biblia: We completed our Faith Writing--which goes in the kids' file until they graduate--writing about our favorite story from the Bible. It was cool to hear about all the kids' ideas!
This is a free event on Tuesday, May 30 from 6:30-8PM at HCHS Football Stadium for current 2nd thru 7th graders who are interested in playing football next Fall at Holland Christian. Whether you are just curious about playing or all-in, come on out for a fun night of knockerball, dodgeball, air force football, and ice cream sundaes. This is a fun way to meet the coaches, players, and parents who are involved in HCS Football at different levels. Kids will be split by age group for competitions (2nd/3rd, 4t/5th, 6th/7th). Parents are encouraged to attend at the end of the event as there will be a time of Q&A with the coaches, staff, and players. We hope to see everyone there, Go Maroons!!!
